Frank Bud Lowry, age 81, of Greenville, passed away Sunday evening, September 17, 2017 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.  The son of Ted & Lottie Mae (Clark) Lowry, he was born on February 15, 1936 at Cedar Lake.

A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Bud proudly served for eight years with the U.S. Army in both Korea and as part of the Army of Occupation in Japan.  He then worked briefly at the former Gibson Refrigerator Company, then in construction  --  helping build the former Belding Community Hospital.  He spent the last 29 years of his working years as a "trackman" with the railroads.

On July 12, 1957, in Jasper, Texas, he married Delaine V. "Dee" Strouse and together they enjoyed over 60 years of marriage.  Bud also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cribbage, and clock building  -- which many of his family have to cherish as family heirlooms.  He was a member of American Legion Post 203 in Belding.
