William "Bill" Remington

February 1, 1940 ~ December 22, 2018 (age 78)

William Edward “Bill” Remington, age 78, of Gowen, formerly Saginaw, passed away into the arms of his precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday morning, December 22, 2018.  He was at his home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. 

He was born to the late Joseph H. and Hazel M. (Currie) Remington on February 1, 1940.  Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and after serving our nation, he served his community as a police officer for the city of Saginaw.

On December 7, 1963, in Weidman, he married Sylvia Jean Dutcher and together they enjoyed 55 years of marriage and raised three children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Dale Remington, Ann (Remington) and George Madison, and Pete Remington.

Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Remington, of Gowen; their children, Troy Remington of Saginaw, Dean & Dawn Remington of Rockford, and Wendy & Todd Brower of Charleston, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Cody Brower, Kyle Remington, Collin Remington, and Kenzie Brower; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church, 315 S. Greenville West Drive, Greenville, with Pastor Randy Williams officiating.
